The 4 services

Every service has its own role within the platform. Below you can read what each one does.

01 data & api
BusinfoTracker

Data owner and internal JSON API.

This is the data owner of BusInfo. This internal JSON API wraps the feeds of De Lijn Open Data and offers stop searches, departure boards and line overviews. A separate worker does the GTFS ingest and polls the realtime feeds.

02 frontend
Businfo

Web frontend and Backend-For-Frontend.

This is the web frontend and Backend-For-Frontend. It serves the main UI with departure board, line overview, vehicle info and disruptions, and proxies the data requests to the internal API.

03 service
BusinfoMap

Live map of buses and trams.

This is a separate service that shows all active De Lijn buses and trams live on a Leaflet map. The data comes through the internal Tracker API.

04 tracker
BusinfoTrackerUI

Live vehicle tracker with line and destination.

This is a separate service with a live vehicle tracker. It shows all running De Lijn vehicles with their bus number, line and destination.
